A Heartfelt Treat
3/26/2008
Contemporary Stokesley and North East Exclusive teamed up to offer a fabulous girls day out makeover competition, winner Suzy Wood decided to use her treat as a final goodbye to friend Katherine Darby as she heads off for a new life and job in Windsor. The pair spent the day in lap of luxury as they had their hair coloured, styled and treated by the team at contemporary as well as a make up by Laura Ashurst, local Stokesley beautician from Tranquillity. Then the girls were whisked off with L’oreal goodie bags to Chapters for a slap up champagne lunch.
The day didn’t stop there as the girls then had £100 vouchers and discount at the designer wear store The House, in Yarm.
Susie had reason to enjoy such normal things as three years ago she endured a heart transplant at Newcastle’s Freemans Hospital.
“It’s not something i like to dwell on or talk about but it is a good opportunity to remind everyone about the importance of organ donation, if through this one person thinks of becoming an organ donor then it’s worth it” Susie explains.
Susie and Katherine said they had a “fantastic day at contemporary” and the team were pleased to help the girls spend some quality time together before Katherine moves away.
